10,000 Units of Bajaj XCD 135 DTS-Si sold in just 15 Days
Bajaj Auto Ltd, India’s 2nd largest two-wheeler manufacturer have reported that the newly launched Bajaj XCD 135 DTS-Si is selling like hot cakes as it is becoming a favorite bike for consumers. Bajaj Reported that it sold more then 10000 units in just 15 days. The XCD 135 DTS-Si was launched around January 2009 end and de3livery started in February 2009. Bajaj XCD 135 DTS-Si is the first bike launched out of six scheduled for launch in the year 2009.
To meet the steep demands of the Bajaj XCD 135 DTS-Si, Bajaj will now manufacture the bike at Pantnagar plant. Bajaj was not going well with the slae against its competitor Hero Honda in the 125-150 cc segment but hopes to return to its full form with the success of the Bajaj XCD 135 DTS-Si.
Apart from manufacturing the bike Bajaj is aslo promoting its new Bajaj XCD 135 DTS-Si through TV commercials and print ads. Following the promising launch of the XCD 135 DTS-Si, Bajaj has targetted its first month’s sale at 20,000 units in February 2009. This would make the XCD 135 DTS-Si the second largest brand in the 125cc+ motorcycle segment after the Bajaj Pulsar DTS-i.
