MotoGP 2015: Jorge Lorenzo crowned 2015 world champion

Spain’s Jorge Lorenzo has won his 3rd MotoGP title by winning the 2015 season in Valencia GP this Sunday. Lorenzo managed to cross the finish line in a time of 40 mins 59.36s while Marquez and Pedrosa followed him finishing at the 2nd and 3rd position.

However due the last race decision, Rossi started from the last grid and riding brilliantly managed to end the Valencia GP at the fourth position. It took him just 13 laps to reach the 4th position in the Valencia GP from the last grip. Backed by his overall season points he was crowned 2nd in the 2015 MotoGP.

Rossi’s championship hopes were then in the hands of the Hondas as he had an 11-second gap to Pedrosa but was half a second slower.

“It is possibly the happiest day of my life, the day when I have been most emotional. I was crying during the whole lap of honor for the emotion of how difficult this title was to win,” Lorenzo told Spanish TV station Telecinco.

“We were always behind and then in the last race it all went perfectly. The tyres were destroyed and I had to ride very carefully in the final lap to not crash. The truth is I didn’t look at the boards with the times and number of laps throughout the whole race and when I saw the chequered flag I could finally breath calmly.” he added.
