Bajaj has decided to discontinue Pulsar 200
After the launch of the new Bajaj Pulsar 220 DTSi, Bajaj Auto has decided to phase out the Pulsar 200 model from the Indian Market.
Recently Bajaj launched the 220cc Pulsar without the Fuel Injection technology and tuned its engine which produces 21 bhp of power and competitively priced it at around Rs. 79,000.00. The Pulsar 200 was powered by a 200cc engine and produced 18 bhp power. So the Pulsar 220 was in a better Value for Money position.
Bajaj Auto have made this decision to make way for the Pulsar 220 cc DTSi. Earlier Bajaj did planned to launch a new model of the Pulsar 200 model with some refinement.
S Sridhar, chief executive (two-wheelers), Bajaj Auto, said, “The carburettored version of the new Pulsar 220, which has been launched, offers higher power and better performance at a much lesser price. So, continuing with the Pulsar 200 was not possible, as it was priced in the similar range. We wanted to offer the buyers a better bike at an affordable rate.”
